Santina was abandoned by her husband after becoming pregnant with their first child. Because of the war in the North, Santina fled to the Aholi Quarter where her mother was living. She met up with her husband again, but he abandoned her again after she gave birth to their third child in 2006. Shortly after, her mother passed away. Aciro Santina attended tailoring school through Project Have hope and would like a grant to purchase a sewing machine and other necessary tools.
