She makes beads to support the family. She has attended PHH adult literacy classes, received vocational training in tailoring and a grant for a sewing machine. Jennifer's village in the North was attacked by rebels and she was caught and sent to a rebel camp in Gulu. She experienced much violence, but was eventually able to escape and moved to the Acholi Quarter to be with her husband in 2002. Unfortunately, her husband often drinks and becomes abusive. Jennifer has three children between the ages of two and eight. She also supports her three nephews, whose parents were killed in the conflict. Jennifer attended tailoring school through PHH and has become a skilled seamstress. She makes paper beads and works as a tailor to support her family. She works in the stone quarry crushing stones and runs a wholesale business selling staples like sugar, flour, and posho.
